This is what I got my mother for her birthday. For the first time in 27 years, I'll be missing the celebration. "Fortunately" a sibling and sibling-in-law have "taken care" of "it" for "me." If you see them, mention that their bedspread looks a lot like the carpet of a hotel lobby, and thank them for making my life easier, and a little bit more shameful.

Niiice. The choice of gift wasn't my idea, I didn't buy it, the wrapping wasn't my idea, and I didn't wrap it -- I didn't even *help* find the tape, for goodness' sake -- not to mention that this is completely out of line with my sense of humor, but I manage to get blamed for it.
On the Internet, no less.
