This UK girl band is not like the other UK girl band you can name.
"Clap your hands if you want some more" is a chorus line from the lead single "pull shapes." I predict that if you're able to hear, this record will leave you smiling and clapping.
Think The Shangri-Las meet The Go Team meet The Supremes with a touch of the Deal sisters. mmmm...the perfect saccharine sweetness for the rest of your summer.
The short songs are certainly calling back to the Spector 60's with the long one checking in at just under 3 minutes. LP might be a misnomer here, but 14 songs, 33 minutes sure keeps you from getting bored. The first time I listened to it, I heard the whole thing straight through 3 times.
The harmonies are well used, and don't appear gimmicky as some who try the same thing end up sounding. I'm not sure I should say any more about it. Why don't you listen to pull shapes right now?
