mid-year endorsement list

As of today, I have to give the White Stripes' newest album "Icky Thump" my official endorsement.


In film, I'd have to say there is a tie right now between "Black Snake Moan" and "Ratatouille" but for very different reasons.

While not for everyone, at least 2/3 of these items have restored my faith in the modern mind's acceptance of what I think is good art. Not sure that Ratatouille is good art, but it is fun to watch.
