Yesterday I had the opportunity to have dinner with a high school friend who I had not seen in over a decade. As it turns out, he and I had been keeping up with people from high school that did not overlap, so it was nice to get a bigger picture. Most of the people I went through school with seem to be doing pretty well for themselves. There are some notable exceptions, but the average is good. I was fascinated that my friend had randomly met(recently) a fellow who lived across the hall from me my sophomore year of college. One remarkable fact about the former neighbor is that he was the first person I ever knew who used eBay. His room had lots of neon signs which he had purchased for a song off that "new internet auction site."
