I made a nut brown ale last week, and bottled it last night. It smelled pretty good, and at room temperature, before bottling (it carbonates in the bottle, so it is currently flat) it tasted acceptable. My biggest fear is that I over hopped it, which is the tendency of most home brewers. This isn't a bad thing if you like hoppy beer. My hope is that the carbonation, and any air in the headspace will mellow that out a bit.

In other news, I made a shocking discovery that riding the moped to work takes just about 2 hours roundtrip and costs about $2.65 in gas per day. Driving the truck takes about an hour and a half round trip and costs about $12.65 in gas per day. Hmm. At $50 savings per week, that thing will easily pay for itself this year in gas alone. The maintenance costs are super low, and it saves wear and tear on the truck. Spending money to save money, I guess.
