How many times do you re-read a given correspondence before you send it? For personal mailings, usually it is once, and then just for clarity. For professional mailings it is at least 3 times. 1 for clarity, 1 for grammar, and another because I'm still afraid I might inadvertently send something offensive. Not that that frequently happens, but I think it is one of those irrational fears. Somehow pressing "Send" inserts something extremely offensive. How terrifying that would be. Do you have irrational correspondence behavior (ICB)?
