I've been busy. Grad school, apparently, requires lots of reading and writing. Who knew? I have a 40 minute powerpoint presentation and a ten page paper due on Friday, and then classes start. The 8-hours-one-day-and-4-hours-the-next-day intensive biochemistry review session was not bad. I have an office that I share with two other dudes and they are superlative. They are natives of southern california, so always let me know what's hip and happening.
I am in the minority having not gone to UC Berkeley. roughly 5/6ths of the class is male, so I'm not constantly in the minority. A perk I'm fond of is that we have a break room with a nice pool table, ping pong table, and foosball table. It also has a ginormous TV with a billion channels and a modern videogame console attached. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
I saw my first ever episode of "Spongebob Squarepants." Please explain why that was (is?) more popular than the beatles if you have any inkling. I typify it as "Nickelodeon Crass" with references to snot and slime abounding. I once saw a bowling ball that was actually "spongebob SQUAREpants." The replica so overwhelmingly contradicts the nature of that which it copies that you have to suspect irony. I regret that the term "nickelodeon" became forever connotated with outlandishly bad cartoonery and no longer refers to 5 cent movie houses.
