the earthquake

some of you have been asking about the earthquake that happened around noon on Tuesday, so here's the scoop:
I was walking into a sandwich shop that I frequent. The door made an uncustomarily loud noise as it swung shut. Uncustomarily loud enough to cause the clientele to look at the same instant. That's when things really started rocking and rolling for about 5 to 10 seconds. That's pretty much the whole story. The sensation was odd, like standing up too fast. It is not hard to understand how something just a little bit stronger could be cataclysmic as the high rises swayed on the horizon.
